Planning a vacation to Myrtle Beach? You're about to stumble upon the best thing our fantastic little beach town has to offer: and you won't even see it unless you know to look straight up.
Yep! The best thing Myrtle Beach has going for it isn't shopping on our fabulous boardwalk. It's not chilling on a lounge chair. It's not the waterpark, the golf, the speedway, or even the Skywheel. It's the sky itself. And first-time skydivers vacationing to Myrtle Beach area have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make this incredible wild blue yonder their first experience of freefall.
There's all kinds of whee implicit in that. Let us elucidate!
1. Location, Location, Location.
Hundreds of thousands of people venture out to make a skydive in far-off places like New Zealand or Hawaii. Why? The views, naturally. These places give the lucky freefaller a 360-degree peek at a backdrop of land and sea that stretches from horizon to horizon. From up there, you can check out national parks, historic towns and the hustle-and-bustle of daily life from an entirely new perspective.
...But what if you didn't have to go so dang far for those views? And what if the view was just as tremendous?
You might guess where we're going with this already, but check it out: Seeing the Intracoastal waterway, Bald Head Island, the Oak Island Lighthouse at sunset from 13,000 feet is the kind of thing that marks just such a highlight in your life's experiences. We're proud of our uniqueness, here, too: Where the majority of skydiving centers in the US are usually located about 30 miles outside of major cities--in the cornfields, basically--Skydive Coastal Carolinas is one of the few lucky skydiving centers in the world with views like this. We've jumped in New Zealand and Hawaii, and we can tell you this: SCC is right up there with 'em, for looks. And we have the industry's best equipment and aircraft.
The moral of the story is this: You don't have to travel to the other end of the world to pick up an amazing life experience. It's here. BAM.
2. We'll See Your Beach Insta And Raise You...um...13,000 Feet.
Everybody loves to take photos of themselves relaxing at the beach. We'd like to see you get a little more meta with it--a photo of yourself, perhaps, physically over all the sunbathers taking selfies on the beach below? That pretty much wins the internet, right there.
3. Southern Hospitality Is Better At The Beach.
You're on a beach vacation to relax, right? We get that vibe. Heck: We moved to Southport to share in that ideal.
Lots of skydiving centers are all about cranking out a high volume of jumpers--and, therefore, getting people in and out as quickly as possible. At SCC, we recognize you're on vacation. No rush, no fuss, no stress. Just southern hospitality.
Our no-rush philosophy also works decidedly in our favor on the thing we take most seriously about our work: Your safety. We take the time to check and check again. Skydive Coastal Carolinas boasts an impeccable safety record that we work hard every day to maintain. And if that doesn't give you that easygoin' beach vacation feeling, what will?
